Control D amazed me with it’s accuracy, despite costing very less. Costed me ₹298 with the kit and 10 strips. It needs slightly more blood. May be, this meter is enough for casual test.

Contour plus One 

glucometer gave totally wrong results, despite the claims of high accuracy. The ascensia technician checked the meter with 3 types of control solutions and claimed meter is fine. However, the variation was over 72 points! It may be one bad Lott of strips. I had purchased strips from flipkart. So, this means quality of device alone is not enough, but quality control of test strips too. Ascensia did not replace my Contour Plus One meter citing, courier service problems and device shortage.

I left using Accu-Check active almost 3 years now. It is varying too much. Same with OneTouch. Roch and Johnson are reputable corporations, but unfortunately the product is not really accurate. I have not tried Accu Check Aviva, Performa models which are uncommon in India.

After the hype of made in USA, I had bought a Dr. TRUST glucometer. Throwed it away – it’s garbage.
